Gingerbread for Galaxy!

Wohoo! The Samsung Galaxy S is coming to the Gingerbread family! US is going to have to wait for their update since they just got their 2.2 update. Frank Feil has confirmed this update for the European version. This update will not bring stock 2.3, but the TouchWiz overlay. Still this is a wonderful update.

Nexus S is Feeling a Bit Yellow

And I thought updates were supposed to make my phone proccess better and create a better display, but that's not the case here. The Nexus S on the right looks a little bit too yellow wouldn't you say? Google says that the temperature settings did not match with the dark Gingerbread UI on 2.3.2 so they added a little discoloration to 2.3.3. Here is what they have to say: With your new OTA complete, you may notice a slight difference in the way colors are displayed on your Nexus S. For Nexus S, we have adjusted the color temperature settings to more accurately reflect darker colors at all brightness levels. The Gingerbread UI being darker, we found that the colors were not as accurate when the device was being used at lower brightness levels. For example, some users reported that the initial color temperature was too high leading to some darker greys having a reddish tone; with the new color temperature this is no longer the case.
Here's a video of the comparison:

HTC, your Sued!

Finally, the new HTC Facebook phone. It's called the Cha Cha.Wait, what? Infringements? Guess we can't call it that anymore because there is already a mobile company called Cha Cha. Oh yeah, HTC's getting sued. Last Tuesday a Cha Cha inc. filed a lawsuit against HTC. I know, we're all get tired of all this suing. Cha Cha does have great evidence besides the fact that they have their own android app. This is what Tech Crunch thinks:

"You have to wonder whether these hardware manufacturers don’t do enough trademark and branding research before they launch massive campaigns for products, or if they simply don’t care and deem the risk for infringement lawsuits an acceptable, calculated one."

So who do you think is going to win? Is this something even worth filling a law suit about? Comment Below.

Who is that Samsung Device?

Remember that  Samsung 4g LTE phone that was announced during CES? Well no one gave this poor fellow a name.  At least we have a picture though. Also there is a name for it now. It will be known as the SCH-i510. What a name! We all know that no one is going to be yelling "Look at my SCH-i510" "SCH-i520?" "No!" SCH-i540 I mean..." you get the point.
Droid Life says It received its “MAP designation” which stands for Minimum Advertised Price and is usually a good sign that the device launch isn’t all that far off.  We aren’t sure exactly what that price will be, but if it follows the Thunderbolt model at all, we should expect it somewhere around the $249 mark on a 2-year contract.
What would you name this phone? Comment Below.

Xperia To Play 3rd Party Apps

The Xperia Play has the Playstation Market. The games on that market excessively use the Dual Shock controller hardware embedded. We still have our lovely developers from the Android society who can make use of that controller! Handy Games will have 3 new games for the Xperia Play. Guns n' Glory, Super Dynamite Fishing, and Infecct. These games were made for the Xperia Play so they have full compatibility with the buttons. Check them out and comment on how you like them:

Sony Ericsson's Android Tablet

Sony's got a surprise at the TDIA booth at MWC 2011, their own tablet! Sony's Android 4g tablet, which uses TD-LTE (China Mobile), features a 3.0 megapixel camera and a touch-screen that seems to be 6 to 7.2 inches. No specific Android version is mentioned on this prototype. Germany also supports TD-LTE so this device may not be 100% China Mobile only. The touch-screen is said to have a "bulk casting", but you can tell that just by looking at it. What do you think? Did Sony make a major step? Comment Below.

Lenovo Launching The LePad June of This Year

One of the Lenovo spokesmen has announced the LePad to be released in June for $399 to $449. This monster will run a 1.2 gigahertz (hopefully multicore) processor, 2GB of RAM, 32 GB of Internal Storage, and it will run Android 2.2. PCworld says “Lenovo is the world’s fourth largest PC maker, and dominates the Chinese market.” This would be great for the Chinese tablet industry but IntoMobile said that Lenovo would not release this until Honeycomb was added, but they already decided to release 2.2. Is it gonna be worth getting this device? Comment below.
