Gsm Arena's Hands on of HTC Sensation XE/XL

Out of one party and into the other - HTC is showing off yet more hot gadgetry and we’re going hands-on with it. After yesterday’s Rhyme launch, today we’ll be playing with an even hotter piece of smartphonetechnology. The Sensation XE is not only the new HTC flagship, but its also the company's first dip into the audiophile pool.

The Sensation XE/XL was officially announced a week ago and now we get a chance to play with it for the first time. Needless to say that we were pretty excited as it represents quite an improvement even over the already impressively specced Sensation. We are talking an even faster dual-core CPU (1.5GHz vs. 1.2GHz), an updated Sense UI (v3.5) and the addition of the highly regarded Beats audio to the mix here.
For starters, here's a quick overview of the HTC Sensation XE/XL key specs:

  • General: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 900/2100 MHz, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
  • Form factor: Touchscreen bar phone
  • Dimensions: 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm, 151 g...

Correct Nexus Prime Specs

Today is a busy day for Nexus Prime - it's been all over the news more than twice. Just hours earlier, we told you about a 'trusted source' who told BGRthe phone's key specifications. Well, they may turn out to be completely and utterly wrong.
We were contacted by a tipster from inside Google, who claims to be familiar with the next Nexus phone and he basically put the previously speculated specs to sleep. As usual, tips like these are to be taken with a pinch of salt, but for now we're buying what this guy's selling. What you are about to read is quite dazzling.
According to our source, the device code-named Nexus/Galaxy Prime is going to ship with Samsung's own chipset, with a blazingly(not a word) fast dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. But wait, there's more..

As the day of the Samsung-Google 'Unpacked' event draws closer, the Nexus Prime leaks are coming in thick and fast. After being treated to some specifications of the device yesterday, today we have managed to find something even more impressive.
Yes, what you see on the left could very well be the actual Nexus Prime that will be announced on October 11. We know, it looks a lot like the current Nexus S, down to the size of the device, but look closer and you will see minor differences, such as the positioning of the proximity and display brightness sensors on the top, which differ from those on the Nexus S.
Also, the plastic border around the display looks smaller on this device than on the Nexus S. And of course, no capacitive buttons below the display, replaced by...

GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus hits the FCC
Surprise! There's going to be a GSM version of the next Nexus phone, which also will be coming to Verizon. Looks like BGR was wrong again! Gsm arena has supplies us with the specs(next post). Go figure, eh- Look, there are still a bunch of questions to be answered surrounding the next Nexus phone — official name chief among them. But as we've been saying (over and over), even if Verizon has some sort of up-front U.S. exclusivity on the next hottest phone, and it might well be slightly different than the ROW devices, there absolutely will be a GSM version. That's what the rest of the world uses. And that's what just went through the FCC as the GT-i925…
